BREAKOUTS

QB
Drake Maye
NE
Maye started from weeks 6 to 17, and over that stretch, he was the QB14. In 4 of his 10 starts, he finished the week as a QB1. Here were Drake Maye’s weapons over that time period: Rhamondre Stevenson (RB27), Antonio Gibson (RB50), Demario Douglas (WR51), Kayshon Boutte (WR61), Kendrick Bourne (WR81), Hunter Henry (TE13), and Austin Hooper (TE22). Truly abysmal weapons. The team went on and picked up a ton of help for Maye this offseason. Treveyon Henderson, a true three-down back who should help in the receiving game, was selected at the beginning of the second round. Wide Receiver Kyle Williams was selected in the 3rd round and was our favorite pick of the draft. They brought in Stefon Diggs, who may be on the tail end of his career, but still has a legitimate chance to top 1,000 yards with Maye. They boosted the OLine with stud rookies Will Campbell at fourth overall and Jared Wilson in the fourth round, added Morgan Moses and Garrett Bradbury in free agency, and get to play Michael Onwenu at his rightful position, RG. Maye taking the second-year leap in skill should be aided by a massive injection of talent into this offense. Sky’s the limit, and we believe Maye finishes the year as a top 10 fantasy QB.

WR
Rome Odunze
CHI
Love the skill set. He has true WR1 abilities and a true WR1 build. Rome’s 54 receptions in 2024 can take a massive jump with Keenan leaving his 121 targets from last year up for grabs. His deep play abilities and efficient 13.6 yards per reception offer a receiver profile that DJ Moore can’t provide. The team added Luther Burden who will need a bit of a learning curve in the NFL, and we are not expecting him to make a Day 1 impact with the team, especially with Olamide Zaccheaus taking most of the first team reps as the WR3. Anticipate Keenan’s left over targets to be split between Rome, rookie Colston Loveland, Burden, and Zaccheaus, with Rome taking a large portion. Even if quarterback Caleb Williams doesn’t break out the way we hope, we still believe Rome can get a workload that will propel him to a WR2 breakout season as Caleb’s favorite target.
